What stories of service and sacrifice have you learned in your time volunteering for Wreaths Across America? We want to hear from you!

As of this weekend, the six-month countdown to National Wreaths Across America Day – Saturday, Dec. 16 – begins! Though many hearts and hands work hard to make this annual event a success, at Wreaths Across America, we believe the mission to Remember, Honor, Teach is more than an event; it’s a frame of mind. Our goal is to practice patriotism every day of the year.

We want your help to bring attention to all the heroes buried in your local cemeteries by telling their stories and saying their names every day. Starting at the end of this month, as we countdown to Wreath Day, we would like to invite you to appear on our national webcast/webinar series to tell us about the local veterans buried in your community. We will also run your interview on WAA Radio and share on social media and in the newsletter.

For participating, we’ll send you a box of wreaths for your location and will provide a template press release with dates and times of your interview to share with your local media. This will be a great way to generate local coverage of your efforts while bringing a spotlight to the community.

To get started, please click here and fill out the form. Once reviewed, someone will then be in touch with you to coordinate an interview time. All that is needed to complete the interview is a computer with camera capability and headphones!

We encourage you to follow our “Countdown” on Facebook and Twitter (#WAADay2017) and help us share these important stories.

We are looking forward to learning about your local hero!
